Ms. Jie Huang (Annie) is the Manager of the Training Design and Development (TDD) Unit in the ICAO Global Aviation Training (GAT) Office, responsible for the development and validation of all ICAO-recognized training courses. She is the focal person to coordinate with other ICAO technical Bureaus and Members of the TRAINAIR PLUS Programme (TPP) to ensure standardization, consistency and comprehensiveness of the training offering. Ms. Huang holds a Master’s Degree of Arts, specializing in Educational Technology from Concordia University, Canada. She is also a Senior Instructor for two key ICAO courses for the implementation of the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) in aviation, the ICAO Training Developers Course (TDC) and ICAO Validating Competency-based Training (VCT) course in addition being an ICAO Senior ISD validator.
She has a vast technical, managerial and training experience in aviation which started in 1995 with China Eastern Airlines Wuhan Company as an aircraft maintenance engineer, then flight interpreter assisting foreign instructors in flight crew training, a chief of flight documentation section, an English instructor and examiner for Pilots English Proficiency Examination of China (PEPEC), a project manager of Pilots English Training, and Deputy Manager of Safety and Technology Management Department. Her experience with ICAO starting May 2012, allowed her to contribute to very importance aviation programmes, the Language Proficiency Requirements (LPR) before joining the TRAINAIR PLUS Programme (TPP). She tremendously contributed to the standardization of various training processes and their implementation in the web-based suite of applications, the TRAINAIR PLUS Electronic Management System (TPEMS).
