Graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in International Relations. Worked for nine years in the Diplomatic Service of Cyprus, dealing mainly with European Union affairs. He was appointed as Head of External Relations at EUROCONTROL Brussels in 1993, a post he held until early retirement in 2009.
From 2009 to 2011, he was seconded by EUROCONTROL to the Ministry of Transport of Cyprus as Special Advisor to the Minister, dealing with the restructuring of the Department of Civil Aviation. In 2009 he created the “Flight Safety Foundation –Mediterranean” , and continues to lead it as Executive Director.
In 2013 he was appointed as Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Cyprus for air transport . He left the post in December 2014. Ιn 2016 ,in collaboration with several European Institutions and Aviation Experts, he established the «European Association of Aviation training and Educations Organisations-EATEO”. Since then he is the Interim CEO of EATEO.
